Chapter 1353 - Land of Kimchi Day 4 & 5

The day which i look forward the most but also the day that left me with the most unforgettable and upsetting memories of this trip. Will elaborate more at a later part in this post 😕

quick breakfast to kick start our day because saving our tummy for good feast in the noon! Hehe

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Can i say this is the main reason that i so look forward to this trip? It’s my Hanbok day and a visit to the oldies palace in Korea. I love visiting palace because it gives off a nostalgic feeling. Maybe because i’ve watched too much 古装 show and this explains why i love visiting palace to kpo more about their living style and etc 😂

Here’s me in my Hanbok. We rented our hanbok from Seohwa Hanbok which is just directly opposite the well known palace in Korea. Very accessible 👍🏻
Here's the husband. lol

Let's selfie first!

we explored the entire palace such as the hall where the king will held their meeting, their sleeping and laundry area,  backyard and their garden! I love the garden the most! All this pictures here are taken by either ourselves or tripod. Got wedding PWS shoot feels hor? hahahaha
We head off to have our early dinner at the ever famous Ginseng Chicken soup which is quite near to the palace, walking distance! :)

eat like Korean style. haha

us with our ginseng meal. blur photo as we were so hungry! lol

whole chicken stuff with rice + the yummy soup base. Shiok!

Janggg. travelled to Hongdae for shopping thereafter. The place where i bought quite a number of items from! hehe

My last happy moment while doing shopping and shyt happen to me for the very first time in my life 😭😭😭😭😭 After shopping, we headed back to Myeongdong for some street food and it was raining heavily and I was holding on to my shopping bag. To be precise, it’s a those kind of “paper” shopping bag. While we were on our way back to our hotel my paper bag torn apart due to the heavy rain and my shoebox dropped off from the paper bag at the roadside near to our hotel. Quickly i picked up my shoebox and walk away thereafter because we were freezing cold + it was raining heavily. Reached the hotel and we settled down ourselves before we prepare to wash up and head to bed. Just then, i have the urge to check how much i have left to spend for the rest of the day since i have done some shopping earlier on (like finally!).

Here comes the moment that gonna shatter my mood for this trip. My Wallet Went Missing 😭😭😭 I was so panic and i quickly done a search through of our bags thoroughly to ensure that my wallet is still around but sadly, nope. We tried to recall and i highly suspected that my wallet might be at the roadside where the paper bag was tore apart. So we quickly ran down to the roadside and check if the wallet is there. It was mad cold and i was in my PJ (short and tee shirt) 😓😥😰

Sigh pie.

Sad to say that my wallet wasn’t there. I felt like crying and i couldn’t stop blaming myself for causing this shyt to happen on me! My NRIC, 2 CC and some cash is in the wallet 😢 Without further delay, i called in to UoB to block my CC and then i tried calling OCBC but however, i was promoted that their overseas number wasn’t updated on Korea directory hence not able to get through. I was so frustrated, pissed off with all kinds of mixed feeling. The husband quickly get one of my colleague who was still awake at 1am to call in OCBC to block my card temporarily. I’m feeling so helpless and hopeless.

Really hope miracles happen. 😭😭😭😭

Day 5 - I emailed Singapore Embassy and was advised to make a police report. & yes, we went to the nearby police station and lodge a report of my missing wallet. The police officer advised me to check through the link constantly to see if anyone has found my wallet: https://www.lost112.go.kr

Apparently in Korea, people here do have the culture of posting their lost and found on the above link and the owner will contact the kind soul to collect their belongings. If the owner happen to be a tourist in Korea, then they will make the arrangement to receive their belonging via courier service. I went to google about it and indeed such thing do exist! There are owners who received their lost item within 2 weeks when they are back to their home country. Im pining a tiny hope that this could happen to me but i think chances are slim because till date i have yet to receive any phone call or neither my wallet has been posted to the lost and found link 😞

I feel so moody since last night and i totally have zero mood to do any shopping despite that a police report has been lodge. Luckily im under insurance coverage and im able to do the claiming. Parents always advise us not to keep all the cash into one wallet when travelling and i strongly agree that we should abide with this mindset when ya at overseas! An expensive lesson for me. On a side note, im flying back to SG tomorrow and i can’t wait for it to settle on the paperwork especially my IC 😪

Basically i don't really enjoy my Seoul trip. Not because of the missing wallet but there's nothing much to shop but maybe because am not really into cosmetic which explain why. lol. But with this, i do save a lot for this trip! haha. Maybe i will not be back or not so soon.

Chapter 1353 - Land of Kimchi Day 3

Good morning! Day 3 in Korea and i actually can’t wait to go back to SG liao! Things here are super expensive and i cannot adapt with their living standard. People here are kinda rude especially the ahjuma here. They don’t say excuse me or sorry when they are squeezing their way out and they just literally either bang on you as a hint to give way to them or just squeeze through you albeit limited space 😒

I prefer travelling to Japan!

Till today, i have yet to have any biggest buy for this trip because things here are really expensive. Might be visiting the outlet mall today and i shall see if i can grab anything from there not! 🤞

Bonjuk aka porridge to kick start our day.

the menu of the porridge and everything looks yummy here!

HubB had the Herbal Chicken Oriental porridge with Ginseng soup base. I preferred his than mine. Super tasty!

I had crab meat porridge. I upsize my porridge by having more crab meat. Not too bad!

Thereafter our breakfast we headed to Incheon by train. A total killer of the train rides! - 28 stops + 1 hour 15 mins ride D:

Finally at Incheon!

Visiting the fairytale village but there's a Chinatown nearby the area.

very vibrant and lively colour to welcome the visitors!

So here are some of the photo we took at Fairytale Village. Actually nothing much ah. Just a walk through of the village to explore your childhood character.. Nothing much here to be honest!

Went to visit the nearest outlet store at Incheon. Nothing much to buy too. Wanted to get a MK bag but ended up i prefer saving the money to get the bag that i have been yearning for. Not sure if i could have the luxury to buy but im saving very hard now! *finger crossed*

Visited Ehwa Womans University thereafter. It's another shopping district alike Myeongdong.
Pop by a random store and we bought this as snacks. tasted like the typical you tiao in Singapore but this do have an special aroma taste. love it!

Strawberry pudding at starbucks.

our dinner. Alike the typical budage jiga but this is not. A cheaper version of it i would say. Total cost is only about SGD16 for 2 pax~ cheapest food we had thus far. lolol.

Back to our hotel after dinner. a long travelling day and we were both so tired!
