Chapter 1440

 Finally i'm able to catch a breather to do some updates here after one good month. Having some personal time is so precious to me now. If you are a follower of mine on Instagram and Dayre, you have gotten know that i have gave birth to our little princess, Aurelia 💓

She is currently one month old (++)! 

Everything happened in a split second during my labour. 

A little update on my labour story .. 

7th July 2021 

It was my final follow up with the gynae before things got real. Was advised that my cervix was still closed during the check and was advised to consider on going induce as baby A was about 3.3kg and gynae doesn't want me to risk by waiting for a few more days as baby A may grow bigger which may led me to have difficulties on going through natural birth. 

Both HubB and i agreed to go for induce as we do not want to risk and also it just a few more days before our EDD so it makes no difference to us. 

On the night itself, we headed to TMC for our swab test procedure before i admit to the hospital the following day. It was HubB virgin swab and he was freaking nervous about it. hahaha

8th July 2021 

Checked in to TMC at about 11.30pm and went ahead to settle all the necessary paperwork. To be honest, i wasn't feeling excited but nervous and scared for the entire day! I teared when i was sent to the labour room . The frightening feeling really scare me off badly. 

Noticed that even before i started the induce process, i felt a little contraction. I started to feel some cramps here and there. So i guess even if i did not choose to do any induce on the day itself, i would have probably admitted to TMC too. Thank you baby A for letting me to admit the hospital first rather than feeling panic when the contraction kicks in on its own! At least we are being prepared when going through induce process.

the contraction pain was at level 46 and i was dying in pain when it hit 36-38. i was crying for epidural! my pain tolerance was so low that i couldn't take it anymore. I salute mothers who went through labour without epidural! It's another level of pain, worse than menses cramp. 

Epidural is definitely a gift from God during your labour game. I felt like a human again after the effect kicks in! oh yes, my anaesthetist was Dr Yvonne Lim. Highly recommended by many mothers. And yes, she is damn pretty la. hahaha. Most importantly, she is good with the jab. On the scale 1 -10, i think i would rate 1 for the level of pain? Instead, the IV drip pain level is even worse than epidural jab. 

After the effect kicks in, i was able to sleep for a while. Shivering was the only side effect which i have gone through during the labour. I was about 6cm dilated at about 4am. FYI, i took epidural at about 2am. My gynae and the nurses was so amazed on how well the induce works on me as everything happened so smoothly and effectively.

9th July 2021

It's the day where we met Aurelia in person!

Took about 30 mins to push baby A out however, as her head was kinda big so she was delivered via forceps assist! But glad that everything went well and i didn't end up on emergency C sect!

Was tearing when we heard baby A first cry! Typically, she was yelling instead of crying. Gynae was saying baby A was angry for pulling her out so early. HAHAHA. The moment when she was out, her both eyes was open widely!  I wish to share the picture here but because she was naked so am not gonna share it. For personal view only. heh.

i am so in love with her! It's felt so weird as we met as stranger in the first place but as days went by, i'm in love with her so deeply. 

Fast forward to baby A's one month! 

Due to Covid restriction, we didn't have any grand celebration for her so just a mini party.

Throughout the journey, i think after birth is the toughest journey. Everyone thought labour would be the most painful process but i would say nope! The most painful journey is the healing part. I was in a great pain during the healing part. I can feel like im dying from the wounds healing! Not able to sleep, sit, stand or walk well was a pain in the ass. I took about 2 weeks for the pain to go away ~ Painkiller was my bestfriend during the healing journey. But i'm glad i felt so much better thereafter where i could fully focus on taking care of baby A and enjoying every process with her. hehe 

Today, am an official mummy to baby A! Being a mother is tough but the journey is definitely meaningful one. 

Thank you baby A for giving us a chance to be your parents. We love you very much! 

Chapter 1439 - What's in my bag (Pregnancy edition)

Since im feeling kinda bored so i came up with a few topics to update until i go for my labour! hahaha. 

As titled, what's in my bag for pregnancy edition. 
Before getting pregnant, i have got used to it on bringing a small bag whenever i am out. It's so much convenience and lightweight especially i used to have breathlessness issue so a small bag is definitely ideal for me! 

So whenever am carrying a small bag, i will bring this double C card holder out to save space. It will consist some notes and my CC cards in it. So in the bag i will also be carrying tissue paper, handy sanitizer and keys. That's all i will bring whenever am out before am pregnant! Oh yes. this is my first official cardholder from Chanel too. hehe 

These are the current items that will be following me from place to place. These are also my personal items that i will be bringing along with me to the hospital during my labour so i just use the same bag everytime when i am out, in case i need to go labour anytime soon i can go down to the hospital directly! 

So in my current bag, it consist the following:

1) My admission letter - advised by gynae, this must follow me wherever i go!

2) Hello Kitty brush. i love using this brush so is a must to follow me if i got admitted to the hospital

3) Tissue paper - standard items everyone will bring along whenever they are out 

4) Sanitizer - this is a foam base sanitizer from bath and body works. it smell so nice and my hand feel super smooth thereafter! i love this!! - ever since covid outbreak, sanitizer has been my best friend. It will tag along with me whenever am out. A must essential item for me to bring along! 

5) A mini pouch from Daiso that consist my hair accessories - rubber band, clips, comb and powder for my hair (works alike dry shampoo if my hair gets oily)

6) Pink bunny pouch - my personal item like amulet! haha.. then i will also put in some coins and extra cash for emergency use.  

7) My double C wallet! Finally not lazy to post a picture of it. lol 

8) Wet tissue

9) my travel pouch given by SIL. This little pouch consist my portable charger/cable. I have also put a spare Iphone plug inside just in case i need it in the hospital. 

10) Coach pouch - with my letterbox keys, house keys from my parent's place and also my trace together token. Super love this coach pouch which i got it from a live on FB! - luxury and co! They sell authentic brands like Coach, TB, Kate Spade Fossil and etc! 

11) A mini water bottle which is not in this picture 

Yaass. So these are the common things which i will bring along recently. I know after giving birth we got more stuff to bring! But fret not, i have already prepared those handy small bags aside. hehe. Will share more about it when Baby A is ready to go out with us 😙

Chapter 1438

Baby A's crib is up! 
It's a waiting game now. She will be making her grand entrance anytime this week, i guess. 

To be honest, i am having mixed feeling of feeling excited and scared. 
Excited to meet Baby A but fear of the labour process. I have been expressing this emotion on my Dayre and Instagram non stop. I think only those mummy with experience will truly understand how i'm feeling right now. Probably, this is the bravest thing that i will be going through in my life for now. HAHA. 

There are so many things for me to look forward to after my labour!: 

1) Hair treatment and hair dye 
2) Nails pampering session

3) Shop for more decent clothing instead of pregnancy outfit 
4) Lying flat and back on my bed! 

5) Wearing my jeans shorts/shorts 

6) Go shopping with Baby A and HubB

7) Catching up with family and friends 

Above all, am also doing some financial planning from my end. Wanna achieve something by end of year and hopefully i can! Life is getting more interesting and excited! It gonna be challenging with a little one adding to our family but i believe we can get through this! 💓

Chapter 1437 - Hi July!

Half a year has just flown through like this and it's July! Ever since i'm going through preggy process, i noticed that time passed fast everyday! Sometime i hope time could just slower down a bit for me to catch up some pace. Nonetheless, gonna cherish every single bit of time no matter how fast the time is gonna pass. 

Throwback to last weekend! Woke up from my nap and i saw this lying next to me. 

My adv pop present from the husband! Current Ipad is dying on me soon so he got me a new ipad air 💓

dined over at BIL/SIL house last week before baby A is out, but without the parents in law due to the current restriction. Can't wait for everyone to gather together again!

we attended parents craft workshop last week and it was kinda fun! learnt many new technique and i find it beneficial for first time parents to be! Oh yes, breathing technique is definitely useful when comes to contraction/labour pain. Had my cervix check with gynae and i was crying in pain thereafter the cosultation. Not really painful but the discomfort just sucks to the max! I tried using the breathing technique which i have learnt and somehow it helps to calm me a little .. 

Managed to sold this baby off! 

it was an impulsive buy. Noticed that i have been bringing small bag very often hence this size is no longer useful for me. On top of that, managed to grab hold the 21S series small flap wallet! So i gave up on this and bought the series that i was searching high and low. No regrets! super major love my current double C wallet. hehehe. My first proper wallet from Chanel :)

It is in lilac soft pink colour. so pretty! I wanna get the bag series but is a bit harsh for my wallet as of now. hahaha. Am aiming a vintage Chanel bag which i hope i could afford it before i turn 35! hehe. 

To look back, my first official branded bag i got myself was a LV bag (Never full bag) when i was 21. I could still remember how excited i was when i visited the outlet. Till date, the bag is still with me but however, the handle is kinda worn out and i am still thinking if i should bring it to the retail shop to restore the condition. Given the current price, i think the repair fee won't be cheap as well. Shall see how it goes after baby A is out as i am unsure if i will use the bag that often since i have bought myself a TB diaper bag recently. hehehehe 

And i am so happy to say that we have unlocked another milestone this year other than having baby A! Can't wait to share with everyone. Will share it when the time is right! hehe. As of now, i have unlocked 2 achievement this year; 1) Having baby A and 2) got myself an official Chanel wallet. It's so nice to  achieve more and more milestone. hehehe 

Chapter 1435 - Father's Day

Caught this view while on our way to PIL's house for brunch. 

It's Father's day today! 
Had advanced celebration for my Daddy on Saturday. A simple one due to the current restriction. No photo was taken because this preggy lady here was so hungry and couldn't wait to indulge all the yummy food. We had western food and durians for the night! Yums ~ 

No celebration with FIL as well and it's gonna be a belated celebration for him so we headed over to their place to have a simple meal with them as to keep them accompanied as well. 

MIL bought this yummy chicken rice for us! Super big portion and i was down with food coma thereafter. hahahaha

This 3rd trimester is also a smooth sailing journey for me but except that i have been feeling so sleepy recently which i think is normal la 😅

Nothing much to update today but since i am free so just to drop by to do some updates! It's an unofficial Father's day for HubB since baby A is still baking in my tum tum but he makes a wonderful role of a father to be! He has been massaging my leg and back since the day we knew the existence of the little one. A non stop routine from him except for 2-3 days where we were exceptionally tired from work and i asked him to gave it a miss! I even made fun of him to continue this routine when baby A is out. HAHAHA 

He has been sourcing for the best baby stuff for baby A too where to the extend i felt that some of the items are not essential to go for it but okay, he kept saying that is for baby A good and etc so i have nothing much to comment on since he wanna spend on baby A as his father. hahahaha. 

So grateful to have him as my HubB and baby A's father! hehehe. He always ensure the both of us have the best of everything! I know i can be sickening at times to nag at him and being a bit*ch at times but okay, is for his own good at times too 😕

Getting nearer to meet baby A. So excited and i'm kinda nervous at the same time. She has been really good to me since start of first trimester! I hope she continues to be good to me till she is out. hahahah! 

Have been eating bird nest since second trimester! This is one of the bird nest which i have received from the cousin 💓

so much love from everyone during this period. Me and baby A is so blessed! 

Chapter 1434 - I AM BACK!

 Hello everybody! 

Guess i am back for good? Changed my blog URL and i hope this site will last! Last update on this blog was October last year.. Almost been a year since i'm here! Many happened along the way, both bad and good hence i was kinda lazy and lost of motivation to update this blog on a regular basis. If you are a follower of me on Dayre, i have been updating there instead. But somehow, after thinking through i felt that i shouldn't abandon this little space here since i have been updating since years ago and it consist many of my memories! 

Can't promise i will be here frequently but i will try my best to update regularly 😊

November 2020

Found out i am pregnant on 5th November 2020. It was an unexpected one due to nut reasons. Tried 3 kits because i still couldn't believe we have made it! hehehe. On the day itself, we broke the news to our immediate family. Wanted to keep mute for 3 months but since it's our first pregnancy we thought of letting the parents know first as we are lack of experience on what to look out for. 

Next morning, i went to test again to see how many weeks we are into the pregnancy. To my amazed, we were into 1 month pregnancy! 😲
I was quite worried because i was back to office during the period and have yet to find out that i am pregnant. Back then, i was carrying a lot of huge and heavy boxes around! Thankfully, all went well during our first consultation with the gynae. 

Probably the best news for our family in November! We do have video clips on our parents' expression when they found out we are pregnant! I'm still trying to edit it into a video so that i can share it around but i guess i won't have the patience to do any of the video editing. hahahaha. 

Yeah, part of the reason why i was MIA from my blog because i was feeling lethargic during my trimester 1 and i literally lost my motivation to do any updates here. 

Trimester 1 and 2 has been really good to me. 

No morning sickness at all but just feel tired all the way. Was feeling good and as per normal. Not much of "heavy cravings" that requires me to wake up in the middle of night to hunt for food LOL

Everything was just so smooth for me! hehe 

December 2020

On 25 December, we broke the news to everyone that we are expecting a moo moo in 2021 hehe. Like finally we can disclose it as we have been keeping mute for quite a while and it was quite terrible as some of our closed friends have started to feel something is not right with me. hahaha. i was less active on social media and some friends suspected that i was being preggy 😂

January 2021

We had a mini gender reveal party due Covid restriction of pax was implemented back then. Unable to invite everyone hence we have done our very first live session on IG to share the fun with everybody!

It's a girl!
Extremely happy to know the gender as we were yearning for a baby girl! 

This little girl gonna be spoilt by everyone, especially her Dada 😁

It's Chinese New Year! 
A special CNY as i was carrying the little one in me going around for house visiting. It's also a special CNY for everyone as this year celebration was quite difference from the past years where we were allow big gatherings and etc. Missing those days badly! Hopefully this Covid will die off soon.

Nothing much but a waiting game for me as Baby is gonna be out anytime from now! Won't deny that am feeling a tad nervous, worry and excited at the same time. Praying hard all will goes well during the labor & delivering! 

This month, we also did an English name reveal for the little one ^^
